I tackled the driver's side this morning.

Installed the RE bushing made for the Dana 44 (or something)

Instead of removing the metal and rubber, you just push the rubber out and replace.

That bushing looked like it was past ready to be replaced... I checked my driver's side upper when I did my LA install, still looked good... But I'll have to keep this one tagged in case it comes into needing to be replaced...

When I installed my adjustable uppers recently the bushing on the control arms looked worse than the ones on the axle. I only had to replace the upper drivers side bushing since the passengers was in good condition. My jeep has well over 200,000 miles on it when I made the repair.

He uses a hard poly in his stuff. Looks like it doesn't like to flex much. Those upper bushings take a beating and are always trying to keep the axle from pitching forward.

Yeah I think that in the case of control arms a stock style bushing would work best and last the longest.
