Right rear turn signal very dim

My 1997 Cherokee Country is having an issue with the right rear turn signal being very dim. I have checked the bulbs and replaced the flasher unit. The wiring and reception look fine in the housing. I am thinking it may be a grounding issue, but have not had time to trace the wiring yet.
Any ideas would be helpful.

If you have a volt ohm meter check the voltage.

If you get less than the 12 (ish) volts, then try checking it grounding the lead elsewhere. If you get 12 volts then you know it's a grounding problem.
