Thanks, for the warm welcome. I have a stock XJ that I got from my brother in law, he owned me some money and in the end that is how I got this 2000 XJ. My DD is a lifted 2006 Jeep KJ Liberty and my youngest daughter just got a 1995 Jeep ZJ Grand Cherokee.
Joined for information so that I can learn about issues with XJ's and lift questions. Also meet other people in my area of Colorado Springs, CO. :happy0180::jumping0041:

Hey Gerald, welcome to xjtalk. Use to live in that area a while back myself. Really miss that place. Your Xj, being an '00, most likely has the '0331' head casting. Now this does have the stigma of being crack prone between #3 and #4 cylinders. But most who take care of them and keep it from overheating are all right. Overheating is the key. Also, it probably has a low pinion front axle. Not a problem for a stock rig but if you plan on lifting it a fair bit you may want to think on swapping in a high pinion. But if you don't have abs you most likely have the Chrysler 8.25 29 spline rear axle. A good sturdy base that can handle 35s.
