I may have some spacers in my pile-o-parts let me look this week. Why not just throw in a Durango box and an aftermarket spacer as long as you're taking it all apart?

Thanks!!
What's the advantage of the Durango box compared to stock?

It has 40% more area on the hydraulic piston and that much more force on the pitman arm. Makes the steering feel easier

Hmm. Yeah I was just reading an install of one on a search I did. It says '99 v8 non snowplow. So that's the only one? I plan on replacing hardware and spacer, is a brace a good addition or overkill? I'm likely never going over 31x10.50s.

Not sure on all the models that had them. They are a standard box used on pickups and such with a heavier front end weight. I have the left hand version on my old Chevy pick up. Very easy to steer. Bracing the steering box area is never a waste on just about anything. Said Chevy pick ups are famous for cracking there as well as on XJs

That's the one to use. Brace isn't a bad idea at all. Never going over 31's. We all said that!!

brace it while your in there. I'm dealing with a torn frame rail from not doing it when I did my box a year ago
