What I did is not the norm, but it hasn't failed me in eight years of use. I used a sensor from Painless wiring to run a relay. The sensor turns on at 200° and off at 190°. I had to drill and tap a hole for it though

Useless thing .... corrugated road vibrations used to adjust the temp setting ..

The one you are looking at should be better tho.

FWIW ... an on/off temp sensor like 4.3LXJ mentioned is the better way to go imho.

Your US NAPA/whatever stores should have a, similiar, catalogue listing like in the link below - for you to choose something in a temp range you desire.

If you have the, 3/4inchish ??, bung in the radiator tank ... there should be a thermo fan switch sensor, to screw straight in.

ok thanks for the info guys. I picked up a 180* dual fan kit from Jeggs just because i priced it out and the kit came out cheeper the buying all the parts separate. Now if I'm not mistaken on the 94 4.0 XJ's the PCM only uses the temp sensor on the T-Stat housing to control the factory electronic fan correct?
