Ive searched the forums and online to try and get an answer to this. I'm assuming that more than likely I have a leaking actuator since everything thing else functions and tests out good and I'm tired of my ac going to defrost in the high rpms. My canister is intact and working fine and cruise control works with no issues. I can see the actuator behind/below the glove compartment but can see any others and wanted to know before I tear the dash apart.

Before you tear the dash apart, look for a check valve on the vacuum line to the reservoir, and check the reservoir for leaks, along with all the hoses

No leaks in the engine compartment. Check valve is near the center of the firewall?

Yes, if you are loosing vacuum under acceleration, then there is a leak somewhere

No check valve in the engine bay and I double checked the vacuum lines and found no damage. What color vacuum line goes to the defrost actuator?

It is the whole selector switch, and the color is black I believe. You need a check valve in the vacuum coming off the engine. That way the reservoir, which I think you still need to check located behind the front bumper, can store vacuum so when you step on the gas the vacuum does not go out of the system

Vacuum ball which is now located in my engine bay is good. So I should install a check valve even if the system didn't come with so as to help the system? I know the main line coming in is black, you have a rainbow of vacuum lines that leave the selector to head to the individual components, which one runs to the defrost?

The check valve goes in before anything else branches off the main vacuum line
