A/C switch issues.

On my 96 xj when I run my ac I turn the fan on low it blows at a low speed click one up where the fan icon is it blows high then click up again to high it blows lower then low? My main question is this something that needs to get cleaned or something else causing this maybe the blow motor resister?

It's been my experience that whenever the blower does some funky speed stuff it's the resistor about 90% of the time.
My opinion: Go ahead and change it. it's almost 20 years old and will probably fail soon if it hadn't already.

DO you know if this is most likely cause of one staying in low, even with the fan switch in the off position??
