Found procedure for checking transmission solenoid without removing pan.

I'm not sure this will work for my year jeep though. I believe there is a plug i can use for this test in the engine compartment.

Would anyone know if this is correct, and where the connector is found. Have a Nice fourth Of July Holiday and Thanks.

Yes, you can test them at that plug. I don't know the pin configuration on those however. But once you get to OBDII, the tranny is controlled by the ECM. To be sure anyway, I would service the tranny and while I had the pan down I would check each solenoid with an ohm meter

Schematic for a 2000, supposedly there were many iterations in the 1999 wiring harness. So not sure if this is totally applicable. I believe the TCM is under the glove box.
