I have a 90' xj w./ 4.0. I'm looking for the vacuum reservior in the front Bumper. Does anyone know who carries these? I called my local dealer and most parts are discontinued. Oreilly's, autozone dont list it. Just trying to find a reputable place to purchase.

Unfortunately you may need to find one in the junk yard. I did a quick search on Rock Auto and did not see anything, you may want to look deeper. Good luck it's not something I've had to replace.

I'd say easiest and probably cheapest place to find one would be JY.. Was the most horrible idea to think looking it up on Ebay was a good idea... lol Found all kinds of antique vacuum cleaners if anyone's into that... lol

Might have to go with a generic one if it'll fit. like this Amazon.com: Dorman 47077 Vacuum Storage Canister: Automotive@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41SAl7Sa41L.@@AMEPARAM@@41SAl7Sa41L
I got one off a grand Cherokee (don't know the year) It was square and mounted it to the radiator support.

Have you mounted in that orientation, Carves, so to help the flow of vacuum back out of the canister?[emoji12]

:D ... awwww ... now you're getting all technical ??
On the TJ they are rotated 90* with the nipple at the side.
I fitted it down - coz it fits that way ... and as everything works as it should, I'm guessing that up, down, sideways, doesnt really matter http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-confused005.gif

Accumulation of vacuum could discombobulate the defractor. That would blow.
I've only seen this on Toyota's. It doesn't work. [emoji41]
