Ive got a '90 xj w/4.0 and I am repairing/retrofitting my A/C system. I have purchased new parts (Compressor,receiver/dryer & expansion valve) and am putting them on myself to save labor charges at the shop.
My question is simple. When replacing the A/C compressor do I need to add PAG oil before I drive it? considering all I'm doing is swapping compressors and then driving it over to the shop later this week and letting them do the rest (evac system,add oil, refrigerant, etc.)
