As the title suggests, I'M MOVING TO TEXAS! Dallas to be specific. I'm hoping to come down to Houston once we're settled in and meet up with the rest of you XJTalk Texans. :patriot:

I've only visited a couple times, so it's all pretty new to me. Let me know if you can think of any helpful information about Texas that might be different than other states.

See you fellers in July.

*(My dad is from Texas, and when we were kids that's what he called Texas. Sorry if I offended anyone, that was not my intention)

I've heard it's different but I've lived here all my life, just seems like normal to me. :patriot:

I always thought Montana was God's country. Texas is pretty damn close though.

I'm in Tyler, 2 hours East. At any rate, we'll have to meet up in Gilmer and do Barnwell Mtn one day.

I'll also get you involved in local jeep club. There's a couple Dallas members as well.

What part of DFW? I used to live in Hurst and North Richland Hills. About right in the middle of DFW.

Well, it's certainly NOT Florida. That is for sure.

We are renting a house in Irving. Not too far away from Hurst!

Any good restaurants I have to go to in the area?

I didn't get around to too many restaurants in Irving, but in Hurst there's a few good Mexican joints. A decent chain joint up there off 183 is On The Border. I actually used to work there lol.

I'll be sure to ask everyone who works there if they know Brasscatz.

Ha! You act like I said Papasito's or Taco Bell! That's the only place close to Irving that I could think of! Miguelito's in Hurst is good, Mi Pueblo's is good. BUT Here in Houston, Gringo's, Chuy's, Los Cuco's... you name it it's good!

Welcome, I think you will grow to love Texas as we have.
I myself moved here at the end of 2008.
It is a beautiful state with the most charming people!

Bigger bumpers may be in order... Traffic being what it is...

Perhaps Montana in the summer...
But during the winter, I hear God LOVES the wild boar hunting in the winter in Texas...
It seams that ever since they tore up his garden of Eden,
he has had a bit of a "Thing" out for them...

Welcome to Texas, home of big guns, 85 mph speed limits and greasy Tex-Mex! When the oppressive heat and humidity calm down you'll have to meet Denver and my crew at Barnwell Mountain for some awesome wheeling.

Sounds you should join us in Gilmer for a weekend. There's a couple of cabins on site and tent camping avaliable.
