I'm curious why rough country's isn't working for you. I believe they make a crossmember for each the 242 and the 231. I have a 242 and the RC long arm kit, but it isn't installed yet

on their web site it reads that it wont work, so i messaged customer service and thet told me it wouldnt bolt up, they wouldnt go into spacifics but they said it wouldnt work, i imagine it has somethin to do with the cross member

I was just about to say that I know I remember seeing an RC LA lift that said it fit the 242.. but would have figured RC would have mentioned that one when you called them.. so was making me think that for whatever reason, that they had stopped offering them or something.. Another option you can look at is Iron Rock Offroad (http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/10488.html), Rubicon Express (http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/Jeep-Suspension.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=38&t_pt=3533&vgID=12&Rubicon%20Express%20Suspension%20Type_PQ=EXTREME-DUTY%20LONG%20ARM&Manufacturer_PQ=Rubicon%20Express), Clayton Offroad (https://www.claytonoffroad.com/templates/searchnf.cfm?tokns=passed&zq=76289491&rowstart=1&wherefrom=SHOPFRAME&whichord=240574&subclass=3500000&subname=3%20Link%20Long%20Arm%20Lifts%20Kits&department=01&special=R&class=N&nextprev=0&nextrow=!&prevrow=ZZZZZZ&desc=na&globaldesc=na&uas=N&pagename=Online%20Store%20%3E%20XJ%20%2D%20Cheroke e%2084%2D01%20%20%3E%203%20Link%20Long%20Arm%20Lif ts%20Kits) or Rusty's Offroad (http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-xj-cherokee-long-arm-upgrade.html)
