Stay safe in that part of the country !
In SW Michigan, we are finally starting to dry out, but more rain expected this week.

Talking to the wife on the phone over the past several days where we live (Kemah) it's been raining but not near as much as the north and west side of Houston has been getting. Sat morning she lost power and the standby gen did it's thing. Started up transfered power and life went on. Comerical power came back on it transfered power back to comerical power and shut down. All automaticly. Next to the jeep it's the best thing I have bought. :D

I read an email recently that there's a bill in the Texas legislature that will keep HOA from banning emergency generators. Next will be external antennas.

The HOA where I live is preatty laid back. Don't see them trying to ban gens. It's a small HOA our dues are $25 a year ($50) for me because I have a double lot. I think there is about 750 homes in out neighbor hood. All the money goes to up keep of the neighbor hood park and boat ramp.

I'm glad everyone is well. Anyone heard from Jon yet it was pretty rough in the OK too yesterday?

Speaking of HOA's and Texas. Here's one you might want to take a look at.

Im good here, property was a bit underwater over the weekend but it has receded. Most of the roads where I am have opened back up, not so lucky South of OKC though.

I'm with you on that. We all see them driving around town old police cars spot light push bumper and maybe an antana. That law would kill the sale of them.

Pretty okay in my neck of the woods, but there's some issues over towards Lawton and down a little further south. Duncan hasn't really had any lasting issues thankfully. I do have a couple buddies that live outside town and have had to modify their routes to avoid the low water crossings.

We lost power for 12 hours. Kinda sucks with an infant in the humidity without a/c. And we got very lucky that the deep freezer kept our giant stock of breast milk frozen for that long

Take care you guys. I'm in Dallas this week and our hotel is filled with Red Cross and people who've been flooded out of their homes.

(9) a spotlight;

(10) a grill light;

(11) a push bumper;

(12) exterior vinyl wrap;

(13) an antenna;

(15) another similar item of emergency vehicle equipment.

Obviously that list was compiled by some desk bound beaurocrat that needs to experience life in the real world .. :rolleyes:

... altho .... when Ive had the extension ladders up on the roof rack ... some people have said, the little red mall crawler looks like a fire truck .. :o .. :rolleyes: .. :D

Stay dry and safe people.

Was getting really pissed off during the height of the flood. Had my truck parked across all lanes trying to block traffic cause the road was flooded about 5' deep. Dumb ass people were still trying to get around me. Dont think I have cussed and yelled at that many people in one day in a long time.

The exit to u-turn under I-45 just south of Conroe.

The u-turn...

The frontage road on the other side of 45. The water flowing right off the side of the road.

Round 2 starts tonight. The surge from Dallas is entering the upper end of the lake. A few more days and maybe it will finally be over.
