I need to resume working on the PS pump, and A/C compressor. I've been advised here to stay away from "big box" parts, which I am fine to do, since I've had two PS pumps from one of those big box places, and both were just as bad as the worn out one they replaced.

I'm seeing fine deals eBay for reman and new PS pumps and A/C compressors, but I don't know which brands to trust. I've heard Dorman is good, but I'm seeing more Cardone and Sanden.

What's good, and what's not? I understand that the vendor and their level of honesty has something to do with this, but assuming honest people and truth in advertising, what's a good brand to go with generally?

Thanks.

As far as AC compressors go, you can find new for the same as reman. Personally I would go with a new compressor. Which one will depend on what is in there, if any. I bought a new Sanden for the AC and OBA seven years ago, both going strong still

All of the sellers say how awesome their stuff is. My question was more around folks experience buying this way, and if there are any "brands" or vendors to stay away from.

Thanks.

I usually go for the local parts stores when its something i may need to warranty later on and am not upgrading.
