View Full Version : Custom Front bumper

i want to build a Front bumper with a Rhino and a winch plate any picture or help would be appreciated. :D This is kinda what I'm going for minus the tubes supporting the Rhino and add a winch spot/Plate.

No one really has plans. The people that do usually are making bumpers for a living and don't let them out. You sort of have an idea of what you want. The first thing I would suggest is getting some plates that bolt to the frame, unless you know how to make a template and the finished product. You will have to go from there

Ok where would i get these plates havent looked into much yet

I really don't remember who has them, just that someone bought them. They looked OK and had all the holes in the right place. Check BDS and others in their fabricator section. Dirtbound Off Road may have some for sale too since they offer a bumper you can weld together yourself

harbor freight sells winch plates. some times on sale for like $50

Oky im putting in my new 3" lift new full leafs and coils how much do you think the bumper will lower it? Anybody got a ruff estimate how heavy i can make it without lowering it?

you mean how low will it sitting adding more weight? not really much at all. not even to worry about. like .10 of an inch. espciealy if new springs

Just stand on the bumper and have somebody take a measurement. That is the best way since there are lots of spring rates and different kits out there
