View Full Version : Rest in Pieces,.. "Radio Flyer" aka: the little red wagon

I bought this ZJ site on scene for the asking price (and I never do). It was a super clean BC truck with no rust, needed an out of province inspection but I felt ok on that. I slammed the parts into it awaiting the birth of my daughter and it passed inspection! I promptly put on Rubi wheels and it was the momma hauler!

Last month It was stolen outside of day care after over 2 years of trouble free driving,.. short of one alternator. With the help of social media , good friends and a good neighbor it was recovered 2 days later a bit worse for wear,... engine was run hard, front end was "loose" and there was tons of damage inside and out.

Today I inked the papers that sends it to auction,.. I will miss that ZJ , I carved the Jeep logo off the hood for my daughters baby book as a keep sake a her last ride inside ad her first ride outside.

As you all know or maybe don't, I want to save cars never scrap them,.. especially ones with memories like this one so today is hard.


I can only hope you go to a place that will help other jeeps live again,...

Deep down I was hoping I wouldn't find it and see it like this, seems like I let it down.

I like to think my old truck was taken to a chop shop when it got stolen. That way I can pretend that he's helping so many other trucks live with his parts.

You now know for sure that yours is doing exactly that. Take some shoe polish or something next time and write "This Jeep was loved, treat her parts well" on the windows

Sorry to hear that she ended up @ the PNP.. As others have said.. I'm sure here parts will go to keep many others alive and running the roads, and hopefully lots of time off the roads!!

That's pretty cool.. and I'm sure will bring a smile to quite a few folks faces.. even if they aren't looking to pull parts off the Flyer!! I know I'd get a kick out of seeing that..

Beautiful. Now to add a bit of funny truth... if you were in Houston, you'd have to write that in spanish too :D
