After having to tow mort home yesterday u figured I would start a thread so we can all have a good laugh at our failures and maybe learn from some of them.

So here is my recent failure with mort on the truck to take him home.

I towed my big bad XJ home with my Subaru …………………………… after a power steering pump and belt failure. Too embarrassed to take a pic

I'm like the Federal Government. No evidence can ever be found of failure. :smiley-gen165:

But I must say that with my XJ, I have yet to be left stranded anywhere. But there is always, hopefully, time for change.

My Sonoma took the walk of shame more than once. My 2dr XJ tried to burn down the wall of shame, no literally, it tried to burn it down....

Every vehicle I own has either been on a wrecker or pulled out of somewhere with a wrecker. I like having towing insurance. I could load the wall of shame with pictures (if I had any). I usually to frustrated by the circumstances to think about pictures.

Had way too many tows to count, but thankfully none recently and never in the 11 years with my xj. Most were with our '93 zj. One was over a thousand miles on a uhaul trailer... fun vacation...

My greatest accomplishment and my biggest failure is that I ate the whole 7 pound can of yams

If this is any kind of failure then just committed one the other day. Welded a clamp to my "frame". Being good on my toes it made a good place for the ground clamp. :D

I will start with the most recent:
A couple of weeks ago the bearing went out on the A/C pulley

Last year, I had to tow Kermit home from Baylor due to a dead battery issue. It was easier to rent the trailer and deal with the battery at home.

Then the big one where my daughter had her wreck in March 2012:

Not sure if this qualifies for the Wall of Shame, but I bought another XJ for the parts to repair Kermit. This '99 was rolled.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a122/matchframe/BDG/Jeep23.jpg

I should add the one where I had the hulk of the '99 hauled off after I pulled the parts. I went after that XJ like a buzzard, I had it stripped down in little over a week. I still have parts laying around from that one.

I am in the market to buy my own car hauler since I have to borrow and rent trailers to keep my kid's wheels rolling. (I also have pics of my son's Mini Cooper on a trailer)

Let me get this straight...
Your son drives a mini Cooper...
But your daughter drives a jeep?

Sniff... wipe... You make me proud man! :patriot:

Yep :)

She has always been a Jeep girl and I think always will.

Almost made it to the wall with this one....
At this level, it dies on hard stops and some inclines....

There's something I need to get off my chest. I actually own a kia forte and the xj is my wife's. We switched because I work a lot closer but after 5 years I told here the jeep is mine and she's stuck with the kia.

After listening to Jeep Momma, Dude, You may not have long to live?

I would sleep armed if I were you!
