View Full Version : Gauge cluster swap in 88 XJ, Need help.

Hey guys I'm think about swapping my gauge cluster from just the fuel gauge and speedo and idiot lights to full cluster. Just wanna know what I'm getting into before I do it. I have an 88 xj base model. Thanks for any imput

The speedo cable remains in the same place. Swap the switches or for actual sensors and install the cluster noting the mileage from the original cluster for your records. You will need a Renix (1987 to 1990) cluster to make this happen.

Yep, you need one from a 87-90 and swap out the oil pressure and coolant temp sending units. Be sure to get ones made for gauges, not lights.

Sorry man..stuffs been nuts at work and i havent got a chance to get to the yard yet.Im gonna try to get up in the next week or so here.If i find one ill pm you so we can get it shipped up there to you.Again sorry for the delay and not gettting back to you sooner.
