As most of you may have noticed, I do like LEDs, and Cree in particular. I've taken the next logical step, Cree home lighting. The house is due to be reqired in the very near future, with this in mind I purchased a Cree unit to try.

I'll see how this one goes tonight, then it could work out costly if I decide to fit them thoughout the house. :)

I bought one for the house when the prices dropped. I love it. I use it in my reading lamp. I got the 100W equivalent that only consumes 13W. The lamp can only have a 40W due to heat given off from incandescent bulbs. But the LED allows you to have more light without the heat.

I have some inside and in all my outdoor lighting. Love them. They'll save tons of money in the long run

I like the use of leds and we have one to try. But when you consider the cost of buying them, and the cost of usage, fluorescents are cheaper. Although the leds will probably last longer, saving in the long run.

Tbh, the main thing for me with LEDs is the cleaner light, I've noticed there is zero eye strain. Some years back, the dental lab I worked in fitted 'new' daylight fluorescents, two weeks of headaches after they where installed ! Awful harsh light from those things. Less draw a lot less power the tubes. :)
I'm gonna need a 'bulk' price, they're goin in thoughout the house.
