I put a Lokka locker in my d30 last week. We went wheeling today and the first obstacle we encountered destroyed both front axles. I'm thinking a cheap lunch box locker may not have been a good idea.

LOL! Yup, mom was in the jeep with Zach. I was at the top of the hill in the crawler and I heard the carnage begin. He never let up!

Opinions here guys: Will chromalloy axles fix the problem are is it time for "tons"? I hate spending good money on a small axle but if alloys will fix it I'll do it until I can build some tons to go under it.

After some evaluation and a postmortem on the axles I believe we may have had catastrophic u-joint failures. I'm going to put some spicer u-joints in my spare axles, tack weld the caps in place and go thrash it. If it survives so be it, if it dies, chrome alloys it is.ukon
