2001 cherokee. No lift.30x9.50x15 firestone destination m/t. Jeep is almost roadworthy. Have what I presume to be a driveline vibe. To start I replaced rear (d35 to an 8.25) removed, sandblasted, and painted both driveshafts. New U-joints in everything. I did not mark anything in relationship to how it was supposed to go back together. At this point is there any way to figure out how to sync everything so it rotates smoothly?

I'm at a loss with this thing. (1 more part, and I'll have a new jeep) is proving to be coming true.

Tires balanced? And did it do it before the swap?

Yup,tires balanced. And didn't do this before, although never had it up to any high speed.

How new are the tires? Could be a busted belt..

Take the back of the rear driveline loose and rotate it 180° and reinstall. That sometimes fixes it

Brand new. Probably should be rebalanced. But I don't have 300 miles on them yet. Drive shaft yokes and u -joints,double cardan joint, splines in rear shaft, etc.

I guess what I'm looking for is what would the proper alignment of all the joints, yokes and splined shafts. Is there a reference diagram?

I'll get one of those angle finders Steve. And,do you check angle of the front axle also?

If you have a smart phone, you can get a free leveler app. Mine works to the nearest tenth of a degree, but that kink of accuracy is not necessary. I made the thread before I got the phone. As far as the front goes, there are two things you have to pay attention to there. Castor angle and driveline angle. But if you are stock, don't worry about it

Did the 180 flip on the front shaft. It's better, not perfect. I believe both shafts need balanced.
