not used but on the list ...sick of the stupid factory set up and rocks if ya know what I mean.........lol

I do know what you mean!!! Hate taking a run at an ice climb only to get half way up and bang! Pops out of gear!!!

I've been looking at picking that cable shifter up for mine.. I've never had any issues with the factory setup, but then again, I've never really gotten to wheel my XJ's either.. yet.. def plan to change that with this one... but after seeing others issue with the factory parts getting caught on when hitting the trails or rocks, I've been thinking about just avoiding that chance all together and upgrading to this cable shifter when I pull my TC to do the SYE, planetary and HD chain upgrades...

It's a worthy upgrade. Was going to put one on my '87 before I sold it. A buddy of mine has the cable kit in his xj. Way smoother shifting and doesn't pop out of gear .

I installed one on my 2004 TJ about two months ago. Easy install and works great. I would def recommend.
