Hey guy I'm new to this forum but I hope someone can help me out. I have an 88 jeep Cherokee the problem is it shifts at a very high rpm in every gear I was wondering is it a vacuum leak? Or some kind of adjustment. It shifts smooth when it shift but it take forever.

Try adjusting the TV kickdown cable. Really simple and easy to do.

Hey man I tried that out and I had no luck I pushed it in and pushed the throttle and it didn't move from where I pushed it in.

Hmmm, I wonder if your cable is stretched or broken. But if its not adjusting I think you found your problem.

I just watched the video again I didn't hold the button when I pushed the throttle. It did everything it was soposed to but it still won't shift. Like it shifts out of 1st at 35 mph and doesn't get to overdrive until 65 but all the gears shift the same very late.

have you set Power switch on? It located right of steering column, once set it changes shift point around 3000 rpm

Yeah I was looking at that. I just bought it a couple days ago. And it did this already. But the button clicks onto power but when I switch it to comfort it doesn't click and doesn't change its shift pattern

My knowledge is pretty limited of transmissions but I would check out the tps (throttle position sensor) next.

Awesome! Very glad to hear that, didn't want to be the reason for wasted money. ;)

On the adjustment i am gonna have to defer to someone more knowledgeable. I have yet to learn that one. :p
