Thanks for the welcome! My name is Josh, and I am a pastor! I am a moderator over at jeepsandwrenches.com. It's mostly a Tennessee page, and I am from Lawrence County Tennessee. I just sold my 94 2 door 5 speed http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/16/79a1feda0932be38fd8ff798d1a6b029.jpg

And I am buying a friends 97 4 door. 6.5" rusty's long arm lift. Should be here Saturday. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/16/11a23ad2addb2b4d49911e8bc923c6af.jpg

I am always looking to help where I can. Hopefully I can contribute here as well!!

Both of those look like clean rigs.. I like the look of your old 2dr.. Would love to find a 97+ 2dr XJ to build up one day.. What plans you got for the "new" rig?

It has a JCB winch bumper and 10k Engo winch. Aftermarket rear bumper, 34x10.50 Super Swamper LTB's. It needs a sway bar and quick disconnects, and some different tires. Other than that, install my cb and wheel it! Thanks for the compliment on the 2 door. It was a 6.5 short arm lift, Dana 44 swap rig. It was a monster off road. But hard for the kids to get in and out of.

I hear ya on the egress to the back seat in a two door. I have one, but no kids left at home. :bacondance:

Looking forward to your contributions

Thanks. Been a jeep guy for years. Just took me a while to see the light and switch to the cherokee platform. Loving it so far. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/02/16/baf14e672964746596d4d3bc1555fbba.jpg

This is one of my favorite builds. 89 waggy with a 9" lift, custom bumpers, and crappy gas mileage!!

Haven't searched the podcast, but I will.

The new cherokee is ok. Not for me, but obviously they are selling a bunch of them.

They look...........weird!

They never did have any gas milage worth mentioning, even with the straight six

I understand. But I grew up with one, till it quit due to a busted cam shaft

It was fun. My kids loved it. Except they needed a ladder to get in.

Josh and I (on the podcast) have been bashing them since they came out. More than one person pointed out the prior Cherokee change. I didn't know anything about Cherokees until I bought mine new in 1998 so after your post here I thought it was something I had to ask.

We're on iTunes but in an attempt to make it really easy for you to at least try the podcast out... :D

Some very nice rigs! Welcome to the site. Thanks for joining us and feel free to jump in. By the looks of those jeeps you've got some experience under your belt. I'm sure you'll have plenty of chances to lend a helpful... post. ;)

Hmm, Pastor Josh I've got a question for you. What are your thoughts on wheeling on Sundays? If I go to church first, and then go?

Pastorjosh
02-18-2015, 03:47 PM
What does Sunday have to do with anything??? I know lots of churches that meet other times other than Sunday!! I say get your church whenever works for your schedule, then get your wheeling time in. BUT, make sure that you are investing your place of worship. It's only as good as the people who make it happen.

Then load them all up and take them wheeling too!!
