Looking to upgrade from 33s to 35s with 3.73 gears on my 2000 tj 5 speed manuel, would that be ok or would a re gear be better before 35s? Thanks

You will not like the 35/3:73 combo. 4:56's would be better. My son ran 35'/3:73's and could never use 5th gear. He switched to 4:46's problem solved Check out this chart http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=402&highlight=tire+gear+chart

My son has a TJ with that gear ratio and 35s. It actually does OK, surprisingly. I would go for it. The 3.73 is just enough lower to allow you to get away with it
