I don't know what the rest of you use , but I tend to buy cheap when it comes to wiper blades. Menard's just recently had a sale on wiper blades at $1.50 each. I could not make it the first week of the sale and all 18" blades had been sold. I therefore bought all 12 of the 17" blades they had. To those who may be curious, they work just fine on my XJ.

RockAuto generally has decent prices on wipers as well. I use them on my XJ and the wife's van. They are also an XJTalk Vendor.

Best performing, longest lasting blades I ever had were the PIAA ones...

Yes they are pretty damn expensive when compared to most of the other ones out there....
But for clearing mud/snow/dust, or yes, even rain off the windshield... they worked better than anything else I've owned, and did so for longer than anything else too.
All without the use of Rain-X too!

Virtually every Rally Car Team in the world uses these... And i know its not just because of sponsorship.

Picked up new wiper blades for the far past worn out blades on my 97... Bought the only sets they had that had all the needed sizes... Unfortunately for me, the one for the back window won't bend all the way at the outboard end, at least not at the stowed position.. I was able to get it to bend just a tad bit, not sure yet how well it'll wipe the window in completeness just yet.. but hopefully it'll work out, if not.. then I guess I'll be picking up a new one for the back window after a while as it's not really a priority for me..

Thanks for the info on PIAA wipers but I see a price tag of $27.95. I can't see spending that kind of money.

I usually go for Bosch frameless type. Had them do well on our work trucks so the abuse we put them through was enough for me. Although they were sold out last time so I just got the regular Bosch.

I think a set of Bosch will set you back about 20. We're talking about visibility here, not high end floormats or luxurious toilet paper. I tend to spend a tad more on brakes, tires, wipers, headlights. things that keep ya safe.

I have the cheapo $5 Goodyear ones from Costco. Have lasted over a year so far in rainy Central FL with no noticeable deterioration.

Check rock auto. They're usually a lot cheaper and if you're ordering something else the shipping won't hurt the deal.

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

I got the Goodyears at Costco too. I believe they were about $13 for both front wipers. They didn't have the rear wiper.

Longevity isn't that big of a deal to me. Usually I replace them because they get dirty and hard enough to clean that I'd rather swap in new wipers than risk having gritty wipers scratching up my glass.

I use Trico Onyx. It is the longest lasting blade I have ever had. Over 2 yrs.

I use the frameless "flex" type wiper blades. Doesn't really matter the brand they all seem to work fine for me. The "old stlye" blades never seem to get the job done as well as the constant curve ones. I have them punched into my maintenance program for replacement once a year. They aren't that expensive so I'm fine with that.
