I tried searching so if this is an abused topic dont shoot me!!!

Got to replace the crank position sensor on my new to me XJ. Auto stores all mostly want $75+.....rockauto has them for less and ebay as low as $20....anyone here went the cheap route with success or should i just shell out the $75+ for it at the auto part store... thanks in advance guys

Ive had no issues with a StandardMotorProduct crank sensor I fitted years ago.

Cheapest place to buy em that I found was RockAuto.

Using the link below,

I would suggest you get the PC41 ... rather than the PC41T version.

Will have to go and pick one up for to keep as a spare in the Jeep, for when the inevitable happens!!

I bought one from oriley's and it only lasted about a year. Yea, it has a lifetime warranty but with my fat fingers I have a hard time replacing it. the one I got from the dealer only cost about $10 more. With that said, my advice (4 what it's worth) is.... buy what you can afford for now but plan to get a genuine mopar CPS sometime in the future.

Yeah. I was just driving down the road and the thing died on me. I cranked on it for 5 minutes and nothing. Then suddenly it fired back up. Cops werent happy about me being stuck in the middle of the road. Oh well though! lol
