My wife OK'd a new rear bumper for me. It's a 1997 Cherokee, 4x4, auto trans, 6.0 engine. I would like one with D-rings and hitch built in, I have trusted the judgment of people here on this site and wanted your thoughts on a new bumper. I can spend around 450.00, I know it's not a lot but I might get a lot of good ideas. Thanks, Dan :bacondance:

I know this is out of your price range, well at least with a tire carrier, but I would look at site advertiser http://detoursusa.com/ and http://jcroffroad/

I have purchased front, rear bumpers, frame stiffeners/sliders from DETOURS for my 98 XJ and front bumper and sliders for our 03 TJ. Both build very good products. Fit like a glove.

The DETOURS bumper does have a built in hitch option, I just didn't purchase it.

Thanks for the reply, smittybilt XRC looks like a good bumper. I like the way it mounts on rear uni-rail and it comes powder coated. I found several websites that has it in my price range. Any thoughts on it anyone. Dan

I have an older first gen JCR stage ii bumper. Love it. Came with the unibody tie in kit (it was the deal of the day 6 or 7 years ago).

Now they have the second gen bumpers with a old body and new body option.
