Power remote door locks ????

I have a 1997 Cherokee 4.0, auto trans, 4x4 and I would like some information on installing power remote door locks. Any aftermarket kits any good? Thanks for any input. Dan :rolleyes:

Does it have to be aftermarket, or can it be factory?? I only ask cause from what I've been told (and am about to tear into it on my 97 I picked up to find out) that all XJ's have the wiring for factory keyless entry, just may not have the board and fobs, and if so then you could hit up a JY to possibly pick those up...

It can be either It doesn't matter. I thought it might easier to go aftermarket and be able to get parts but factory is fine too. And from my experience with my 97 it does seem to have a lot of wiring in it that doesn't go any where. I had the dash out to install a new a/c evap and noticed it then. Dan
