I have a 96 country

When i bought it for my wife about 2 months ago i had intended on replacing the cylinders since they where smashed in/pulled out....EZ enough is what i thought.seems i was wrong.

I can find the cylinders and keys all day long, however i can not find the instillation hardware kit.the retaining nut/clip for in between the inside of the door and cylinder is gone(if it has one) so i think that's why they pop in and out when i close the doors(i may be wrong, correct me if i am) and the plastic clip holding the rod to the cylinder is broke on one side.

can anyone point me to a master kit.the way it is i might as well leave the windows down and key in it :bang:

any help would be awesome.aftermarket kit, ways y'all may have went around the issue.

thanks

I cannot point to a master kit. I don't think there is one. If you can find a pick and pull, this is the place to go. I just got a plastic retaining clip for mine the other day. Once in, the wife couldn't get out

Maybe I'm thinking of the TJ but I thought it was a metal "U" shaped thing. It has an arch in it so when you slide it into the groves on the cylinder it holds it in.

I never thought about trying to find one. You know the dealer has the tumblers(?) I wonder if they'd have the clips too.

I'd say your best bet is the junkyard... instant gratification, and prob about as cheap as you can get.
I'm not sure WHERE in Oregon you're at, but i'd hit up 205 Auto Salvage... they have one of the largest selections of wrecking yard jeeps in the state. Make sure you tell them Josh from XJ Talk sent you, and you'll get a 10% discount on your entire purchase.

If used parts just aren't going to cut it for you, then here ya go:
