I am sure some of yall already know about this product but wanted to pass it along as it opens up the bumper choices for us XJ owners.

Ares Fabrication offers brackets that have a C at the front end to accept TJ (and maybe CJ bumpers). They do state they are to only be used with their bumpers as they can not guarantee they will fit any others, however unless their TJ bumpers have holes specific to the XJ mount I don't see why any other bumper meant to bolt to the stock TJ frame wouldn't work.

The bracket is also long enough and uses the steering box bolts.

Not bad for $100...

Saw that bracket the other day... Thought it was pretty neat idea... especially for the folks that want the stubby bumpers that not too many places offer for the XJ..

I agree pretty sweet! I did see an ad on my local c/l for a place in coal township PA that makes some good looking bumpers fairly reasonably priced. They have a prerunner style wich bumper for like $375 and some stubbys too.Overall i think they offer like 4 or 5 styles for the xj front. If i recall correctly they even have a rear with a spare mount that seems reasonable. I will have to find their name and post it up.
