Greeting XJ talk!

It seems my googlfu has left me... My rear springs are to the point that I can't have 3 people ride in my XJ at the same time due to tires hitting the wheel well also shock are going as well it might not help that the bump stops are bad either.

At one time I had found sub $450 ish 3"(?) kit with shocks and full leafs.

So has any one seen any decent lift kit with full leafs in the $300 to$~460 range?

Or am I just going crazy?

I think Rough Country and Rusty's might be your only bet. I've heard/see of this stuff called "Zone" but know nothing of it. I'd personally go with Rusty's over RC. Rubicon Express isn't too too much more coin. And that I'd do also. But look at others also. The pricing might not be too far off and better quality and customer service. Though both RE & RC have good service.
You could do a bastard pack in the rear to hold ya over or a perm fix. There's Rock Auto you can get OEM. A local junk yard might have some less worn leafs from an OEM XJ.

Here's a list of lift manufacturers that I know of.
TNT
Claytons
Iron Rock
Rubicon Express
Rough Country
Metal Cloak
Iron Man
and of course, the piece it yourself like many of us have. Just keep in mind that doing a lift can potentially have a chain of adverse effects, such as steering and drive shaft issues. Not all, but keep in mind. You may have to spring more coin if something like this is effected.
If you're simply wanting to be able to go back to normal conditions. Doing a fresh OEM suspension, may save you a ton of coin and headaches you were not ready for. Ask me how I know :)
Here's a simple solution for the rear for the leafs: http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IROR&Product_Code=10494&Category_Code=PFX
The bushings in the rear shackles could also be toast. From what I know thus far. There is no OEM replacement except poly bushings. Which is the cheapest fix. Other than that it's new OEM and they're about $150 from a dealer. But you could also check Rock Auto.
I personally usually encourage folks when doing a lift, to plan it out. Write down your objectives, wants, needs, and leave room for future mods if needed. You'll spend less money, probably less frustrated, and even happier with the results. But that's just me.

Toughs?

I will need in addition to the parts in thee lift kit.

bump stops front and rear,
new grade hardware for rear leafs
maybe shakles

I should be good with the same brake lines and the steering stabilizer is new this summer. Any thing else I might be missing?

A SYE is in plans some time after I get done with school. due to low winter temps in this part of the world poly hardware will work so rubber only.

Slightly :keegirl::smiley-laughing021:

The was to just do a bastard pack (I even have a s10 main leaf) and spacers but with how my leafs are now more like this /-\ then this \_/ I would not get much use for them.

RC gets my vote as well. Or save your money and save more and get 6" lift instead of 3".
