Was looking at my shocks and well to my knowledge they are stock and have 197k on them. Time to replace.. Was looking at the rustys rx200 or rx300. Can't deside what to get. What are the benefits of having a remote res? And is it really necessary for a weekend wheeler?

I don't think the remote reservoir are really worth it, especially for just occasional wheeling... I ran the Rough Country 9000 series shocks with my 98 and 7+" of lift and loved them... they were roughly $34 a shock IIRC... but it's been a few years since I purchased them, so could be wrong on that.. You could look into picking up some OME style shocks..

Yeah.. That's what I'm thinking. Is it worth the extra money. I'm looking for something better than OME and realy like the rx200 look.

Unless you are on extended fast trips over rough terrain, the reservoirs are a wast. Nice bling though

I had Fox shocks with remote res. I didn't care for them. Way too stiff for every day driving. I switched to the Bilstein 5100's and they ride like butta! I vote for 5100'.
