i wanna replace my stock chrome rear bumper. what options are out there for a bumper that has a tire mount as well as mounts for my hi-lift. i want it strong but not expensive. i know i wanna eat my cake too. i like JCR's but to add the tire mount and jack mount is a little too much.

They are pretty much all that way. But a good option if you have a receiver hitch for the tire is Detours knuckle bone, about $250 I think and you might talk him into adding something for your high lift

The detours tailbone is on my wishlist.

i do have a hitch. its stock style. i was thinking of removing it for clearance and moving the receiver to the bumper cause i do use it but maybe get the bumper with the receiver in it and use that to put what your talking about in. i just am concerned about clearance. i do have about 7in. lift in the rear though.

A receiver hitch is good protection for bumpers and gas tanks as well as a good tow point

oh the tailbone mounts to the bumper. im going to add a tank skid and i want the bumper to be strong enough to handle drops.

the bumper will tie into the frame rails. i have a warrior front bumper and have bounced it off rocks and stuff and no dents. should i be concerned though?

I guess that depends on how you wheel.

Well, an issue is the corners. That is where most of the abuse will occur. The cheaper options do not protect the corners, just the middle

i will have rustys steel flares on the rear. my gas tank is already dented pretty good but that will be replaced. maybe with an upgraded one but maybe not.

Up to you, but I prefer full bumper in the rear. If I hit something with a bumper, it is the back one

Detours USA tailbone? That mounts to the frame rails plus (double check this) he can add a 2" receiver to it.

or is the tailbone in place of a rear bumper?

or is the tailbone in place of a rear bumper?

Factory bumper is a thin piece of flimsy metal. The tailbone is covered by the factory bumper.

Since you are in PA you could look into DND Offroad (http://dndoffroad.3dcartstores.com/-xj-rear-swing-out-_p_63.html).. They have a pretty decent deal for their rear bumper w/ tire mount... and you could probably talk to them about adding studs or something to be used for a high lift... I am looking to order the rear bumper from them here shortly and was thinking about talking to them about the hi lift mount as well...

If you talk to them they are really cool and pretty cool with trying to accommodate their customers with their wants... like I said, not sure what options they might be able to work with the hi lift mount on that bumper... but if it's possible I'm sure they'd be willing to work with you...
