Longtime lurker/researcher.

My love affair with the XJ began in 1993 with a brand spanking new RED Sport from New Braunfels, TX. Fast forward to 2001 and she was lost in divorce. :( Yeah, tragic.

Fast forward again to 1.28.2013, when I got a "deal" on my 168655 mileage - '99 XJ.

Immediately after purchase, I began to realize why I got a "good deal" ($3000.00) on this one.

Gut wrenching video. Watch at your own risk.

What I do know:

It's not the flex plate. ;)
Pretty sure the head (0630) is shot - water in oil.

So, that's my intro. Ask any and all questions that come to mind. Oh, and no, the Jeep didn't have this knock when I purchased it.

Gonna drop a new Titan 4.0 back in it soon. I'll make sure to start a thread and keep everyone updated with the replacement, as well as the teardown and rebuild of the currently FUBAR'd engine.

Whew, sorry to hear about the loss of the '93 and the issues the "new" one is suffering. Sounds like you're getting a whole new set of experiences. Hope the '00 is up and running good soon and let us know if you need some help.
