Hello Everybody, thanks for the Welcome.
I found this site searching for DIY long arm builds. This is my 3rd XJ & I'm starting back over (again) w/an all stock 96' Country (less fender flares). My CJs are overkill for all the local trails & wont fit the family so I'm trying to get a plan of attack on building this XJ w/out spending crazy $$ on off the shelf parts.
The goal is 4-6" lift, 31-33s & street-able. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Allen. Before we answer that, how good a fabricator are you? It also might be advantageous for you to start a separate thread for this subject.

Hey Steve, could you or anyone point me in the right direction as to which forum to post a "any suggestions" or something along those lines type of thread?
As far as the fab goes if I can get some help w/ base measurements & angles I have no fear.
I'm no expert but this won't be my first build.. just my first front "link type suspension" basically from scratch.
Thanks again for the help/advice & please forgive my forum ignorance.

Don't worry about forum ignorance. We are a friendly bunch. In the bar at the top of the page there is a button that says "Post". Click on it and just type away

Welcome to the site Allen. I like the plan with a budget minded family wheeler. Most of us, myself included, have to find alternative (aka cheaper) ways to do modifications. So there is plenty of ideas floating around to keep you busy for years. Its like a group of friends around here so join in and no worries, we don't give anyone trouble about not knowing everything. Everyone starts somewhere, whether it be vehicles in general, jeeps or XJs specifically, or forums. Respect for one another is all we ask for. Hope ya get to enjoy the family truckster off road soon. Post up a pic(s) of that jeep when ya can. If ya need help with posting pics too, just ask.
