Just got the briefing notes through for the Rememberance Day parade on Sunday. Our local 4x4 response group get to stand in the middle of the road and stop traffic. Funding cuts in the police mean they no longer have the manpower to marshel this event, so last year we put ourselves forward to enable the parade to go ahead, we where booked to do the same this year.
2 packs of briefing notes !

It is a big PR boost, for the most part in the UK, 4x4s are viewed and the Devils own work !
More importantly, it allows the vets to continue to pay their respects to fallen comrades.

It can be that way here too at times. Depends on the area and the politics. One other thing clubs here do is trail clean ups and search and rescue

I'd like to get more involved with an organized club to do clean ups and Search and Rescue.
Good stuff Phil! Glad to see/read about y'alls efforts.

The group is now part of the local authorities emergency planning. We work with the search and rescue group, police, and get doctors and nurses to where they need to be when normal transport cant. It's came a long way in the past 3 years. :)

Love it! Good for you guys. Its great to both these things and yes, always helps offroaders appear better in the eyes of the public.
