Hey, I was wondering if anybody knows what this part in the picture is. Just curious since I'm running cables through it.

It is the HVAC housing. That area has the blend door and heater core in it

Nice, good to know. I'll have to monitor it for heat but I think the cables will be ok. Thanks!

If anyone is interested, this is a great spot for a hard-wired phone charger. $11 on amazon.

That is OK, I just happened to be standing on my head anyway
