Just because everyone uses the hoses with wire on the "Inside" does not mean a stiff steel wire wrapped around the outside and Tie-wrapped in place would not suffice until an internal spring could be found... One would think?

Or a section of PVC pipe split lengthwise and again, tie-wrapped in place to keep the hose round instead of flat.

Hope that helps!

My original hose came with the internal coil which I have moved from new hose to new hose. They say that the new hoses don't need the coil. I'm assuming you have tried replacing the hose? Do you have a high flow water pump? No thermostat?

Oh I don't know if this is the case with the lower hose, but I know a bad radiator cap made my wife's TJ upper hose collapse. I replaced upper hose and radiator cap, problem solved.

I have a post with picture from 2012 on this site of the ss springs I put in the bottom radiator hose. Maybe this will help you.

The only thing i can think of is junkyard or try some kind of specialty hardware store. Trying to think of anything that uses a long big, yet not stiff spring... hmmm...

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

Another option is to use a flex hose. Those things will never collapse

I use three of these springs. They are each about 4 inches long.
