Hello my name is Mark, I live in North Western Missouri. I just purchased a 1999 Cherokee Classic with a little over 137,000 miles. Currently features a 3 1/2" Rubicon express lift, K&N cold air intake, Rhino lined rock sliders, and diamond plate steel on lower body. 31 10.50 15 BFG AT KO's on stock rims. I also got a hitch kit, a high lift jack, a set of 5 Rugged Ridge black steel wheels, a trans cooler, a chiltons manual and every reciept for anything and everything thats been done to it. The interior is super clean. The 4.0 is much more stout than what I thought it would be. Clean well taken care of jeep. More mods to come as time and money allows.

I found the site by looking at XJ pictures on google. Seems to be a great place.

Thanks, I consider it a find and am very excited about it as well. There are not many of these out there that are not rusty, modified to the point of being unsafe, or have too many miles. It took me 4 solid months of searching to find this Jeep ironically enough this ending up being just across the river in Kansas about 20 minutes from work. I've had a couple of 5.2 V8 ZJ's over the years, ive always always wanted an 4.0 XJ but I just never had found one at the right time for it to work.

Plans are to add an aftermarket front bumper, some LED lighting, a winch, rear bumper, roof rack, CB radio, header and stainless exhaust, and some new tires. This is going to be my daily driver (to save miles on my lifted 09 F150 Lariat S-crew sitting on 35's) so it still has to stay fairly practical. The reason behind the Jeep is the wife and I are avid Kayakers, both from a recreational standpoint and I do a ton of fishing out of a kayak as well. So this will get us too and from our many trips. Plus I have an itch to get something out in the mud a get it dirty, this will fit this nicely.

Tell me about it. I had to settle for rust and high miles. :p

Sounds like a good plan for an all around nice rig. Keep us updated on the progress. Maybe even start a build thread to chronicle all that hard work. :D
