What haven't I ordered? Lift struts for the escape's hatch, switches for the jeep, led light bulbs for the house. ETC. ETC. just about anything and everything.
The internet makes it so convenient. I never have to leave the house, I'm sitting on the crapper right now as I write this.

Yesterday I ordered new V8 ZJ Tie Rod + ends + pitman arm. Today I ordered a new OPDA for the gf's 06 TJ. Seems the 04-06 4.0Ls had a faulty OPDA design which, if it fails, will take out the whole engine. New OPDA is redesigned to fix this problem. I REALLY hope there isn't much wear on the cam gear though.

Hmm, pistons, rings, waterless coolant, head gasket, pan gasket, fuel gauge, fuel sending unit, welder, cylinder hone, ring expanding pliers, funnel kit, coolant flush, warn plug in, synthetic winch line and isolator, rear coils, con rod bearings, oil, filters, break in oil and a new bathtub! Probably forgot a couple things, let's just say it was a busy, expensive month! 😀

OK, I wanted a rheostat to vary some voltage for a Jeep project. Bought one from Radio Trash (shack) and it didn't work. So I bought one off Amazon. Couldn't get anything in the way of details, no matter what I tried. So I bought it. Look at the size of this thing. I think I need a trailer now

Hmmm, maybe I should consider that :D

No, I am having a problem burning up my injectors. Painless wiring insists they are 12V and the FSM from Chevy says they are 6V. I was thinking of dropping the voltage to them so I would no longer have these problems.

Couldn't this be done using a resistor on each injector?
That Rheostat looks a little "chunky"...

My engine has one injector with 6 nozzles. It fires three times per revolution. And yes, it is chunky, which is not what I had in mind when ordering. I think I will go another route

A better question would be what didn't I order lately? Here's my list:

- RE 3.5" Super Flex lift kit with mono shocks
- RE adjustable front track bar
- 5X BFG 31x10.5R15 AT
- 4x Procomp 97 series wheels
- hi-lift extreme jack
- the recovery kit for the jack
- the wheel sling thing for the jack
- the pad to use the Jack on soft ground
- the handle keeper for the jack, why the heck doesn't that come with the jack?
- VIAIR 90P portable compressor
- ARB speedy seal tire repair kit
- T50 socket as my kit only goes to T40

Good thing my wife is going to Paris in about a week to balance that out...

Scored some used Jks quicker discos for $35! Looks to be in great shape. Just some light rust in a couple small spots and missing a spacer. But since these go for $150 new I think I got a steal.

Were a bit dirty when they arrived but you can see the one cleaned up nicely. They do need some grease though.

Ordered some swaybar bushings. Mine were worn to the point you can move the swaybar up and down in them. While I was in there added some LEDs to the cart for next payday to replace all of my dash lights. One of my blinker arrows went dark the other day so I'm just going to do them all at the saem time.

Hoping to get a few more items and install it along with the IRO double shear TB, and hopefully the upgraded lift setup (to include an IRO LA setup) all at once it... But if nothing else I do plan on at least getting the OTK in there once I clean it up and make sure I have all the necessary hardware..

Did she order the upgraded harness too, or just the housings & bulbs?? Either way can't blame you for wanting to open it up and make sure it is all still in good shape... tell her she doesn't want to push the luck on the return policy by putting it off too long to make sure they are all in good shape and working...

Yeah but you can't make sure they are really in good shape till you ops check them... lol I can't wait to install the headlight upgrade in my 97... Loved it in my 98, so ordered the same exact setup this time around, with the exception of I went with a PUTCO harness instead of the more expensive one like I did last time.. You'll def notice a huge difference with just doing the housings and bulbs... but even more when you throw in the harness... Got the full setup sitting in my "storage room" in the Amazon box, just waiting it's turn to be installed...

I hope both will be of great use for my 97!! Might try and pull the engine out of the 90 before it goes to the boneyard, and try and see if I can' make use of the block to do a budget stroker build... to if nothing else have a newer fresher motor for the 97... Got to do some research to find out if I can use and what parts of the parts out of the 90 I can make use of...

Wish I could find a reverse copy of the decal, sent them a message to see if they had one, so I could have one on each side of the windshield...

Well going to pull the head off the 90 XJ's 91 Donor engine and going to b picking up an engine out of a 96 XJ from the same guy I got the LA upgrade and other parts from a few weeks back... Going to use his engine and the 91 head (with a little bit of changes and work) to build my freshened up engine for the 97... Figure he's already got his engine pulled, and I don't, and don't have the hoist or anything to pull the engine right now anyways... so maybe I'll get the 90's complete engine pulled, maybe not... we'll see what happens between now and when it gets taken to the JY... On another note, got the 4.0 builders manual in the mail Sunday, was very surprised and happy when I opened my door to run to the gym only to be greeted by the package dropping in..

The decal(s) are being cut now... I contacted the seller on Amazon and they said for an additional fee they'd cut reverse decals for the other side of the windshield.. so going to get that reverse cut done and get em both headed my way... Can't wait to get the XJ registered and start getting this parts collection I got going... onto the XJ and enjoying them... :bacondance:

Def on the list for my 97 once I get the lift and a few other items taken care of... Can't wait.. Looking at ordering the dual setup so each axle is covered... Just got to make sure on if I have the 27 or 29 spline 8.25 before I order and have to wait just to find out it's the wrong one...

Ordered up some diff covers for the front and rear axles of the 97 from UnderCoverFab (https://www.undercoverfab.com).. doing a 15% off right now deal, or you can opt for the free shipping code.. but the 15% off was far more beneficial then the free shipping cost...

Looks good, can't wait to get my covers in.. which they were already wrinkle coated like the Solid ones are...

Just got done ordering up some upgraded battery cables for my XJ.. figure the stock ones are looking like they've beyond lived their lives, and have been trimmed quite short anyways... so went ahead and figured might as well pick up some upgraded ones to get one step closer to being ready for upgraded alternator to come (eventually)... and figure they probably cost me about as much as a set of new stockers

I ordered mine from Jeepers Creepers.. Their cables are 2/0 Guage, and he runs Mil-Spec Battery Clamps... You can read about his cables here (http://www.jeepersandcreepers.com/10701.html) and if interested in purchasing can do so here (http://store.jeepersandcreepers.com/servlet/-strse-3/Heavy-Duty-Battery-Cables/Detail) they also have a pretty good deal on a new housing 62mm TB's.. I'll eventually do that once I build "new" engine and install the 99+ IM on it..

I had looked at the H4 bulbs with no fans or heat sinks as I wanted to do the H4 LED upgrade and run my 80/100 bulbs and upgraded harness in my GF's LJ or keep for a future build on another Jeep.. But after talking to a guy who I trust, the owner of MRL lighting.. and he was saying as well as what I've seen on many other sites.. that they tend to have issues, or overheat more... especially when they have no real airflow going by them... like we have in the little cubby holes behind our headlights.. I mean in talking to MRL lighting he said for running his Gen 3 or Gen 4 LED H4 bulbs you have to run a hole saw to open up a spot for clearance on the back side of the heatsinks, so guess you could go ahead and do the same hole to allow for cooling of the non heatsink or fan type of bulbs and that might allow the air flow needed for cooling them... Heck the cost of picking them up without any kind of cooling, are usually fairly cheap, so might be worth a try and see what happens.. worse case scenario you end up driving home with one headlight out cause it burned up...

Yeah I figured it out after I had posted about the diff covers... don't worry you haven't lost your mind!! LOL... I thought it was a pretty decent price on the cables, I ordered them since i don't have a welding supply store to pick up the cables and lugs through.. I'm sure you could pick up that crimper and do your own.. don't imagine it's really all that hard... Like I said, if I had the resources to get the wire cheap or at least @ a decent price... and the necessary lugs then I would attempt to do it myself as well... But no real options here unfortunately...

Yeah I was actually going to send them my old spare TB that I have as a core when they were still boring out stock TB's... but I like the idea of having a completely new housing even better...

Yeah I think for the kit from JC it was $119 shipped to my house, and looking at purchasing the parts and the crimper online it was going to take longer to get all the parts in, and cost me about the same if not a tad bit more.. So it was just cheaper for me to do it this way... I might still pick up the crimper later down the road and do some playing or learning if I can get some scrap wire and lugs to work with...

And I don't remember what the cost was through JC for their bored out TB's based off the stock TB's.. but IIRC the price for the new CNC'd housings isn't but a few bucks more.. so well worth it to me...

Its a good price for what you get really. The only other one I know of is Rubicon Express for almost $400. And i'm not sure they even still make them.

when I had friends at stereo shops, they'd make me custom stuff for a few beers. Found a few places that will make stuff custom. I need a whopping 5' of each for my second batter. Need to do cowl intake first though.... then pull air box and stick 2nd battery up there under the hood.

price savings doesn't kick in until you get to 1000'. So unless you guys have other ideas, a group buy prolly doesn't make sense.... thoughts?

I have seen some decent deals on Amazon for 00 and 000 wire in red and black

Just be careful what quality you get.. I know there are quite a few companies that are selling 00 wire that isn't really 00 wire... it's like 4ga with a ton of extra outer coating, so it looks like 00... and there was one company which I don't see on Amazon anymore.. but they used to have some that they were selling as 00 cable, which was 4ga wire wrapped around an inner core of who knows what, and then extra insulation on the outside... Cause I've been looking at picking up a 0 gauge wiring kit for the larger amp needed for my audio setup in my truck.. and saw folks comment about these scams.. so just make sure on what you're picking up wire wise..

The stuff I was looking at was welding cable and listed the diameter of the copper

Which covers are those, Tony?? and what paint did you use on them?? Looking forward to getting my covers in, and getting them painted.. was hoping they'd make it before I flew out again, but of course no such luck.. as usual they'll probably show up tomorrow right after I leave, as the rest of my parts have done..

RuffStuff. Dana 30 cover is on the 98, the Chrysler 8.25 will go on when the ARB air locker is installed. Oh I primed it and then put the Chrysler PR4 paint on it. I'm just putting black on the C8.25 cover.

Oh ok... cause I know some of the folks selling just regular 0 and 00 cable, likes to cheap out where they can to make some money... drives me crazy.. Can't wait to get my new battery cables in hand, and even more so into the Jeep.. Thinking might be in good time too, thinking my alt, might be dying off, we'll see when I get back, I'll pull it and get it tested when I pick up a new battery for the XJ..

curious what you think after shooting that laser/scope combo. first thoughts, are that if I need a laser for a rifle, then I'm prolly SOL anyway. Although it would be cool to see the laser on target through the scope, i think. Let me know how you like it. for the money, you can't go wrong I guess

An antenna that came recommended from a couple people here as well as around the web.
http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h328/jbchill1/20150310_064218.jpg (http://s1104.photobucket.com/user/jbchill1/media/20150310_064218.jpg.html)
And a PTT mic as well...

The mic feels "cheap" ... kinda low quality plastic, and the key button has a loud click and feels flimsy.
The clip however.... this damn clip is made by gorillas in the rain forest, using ore mined from an active volcano, and smelted using heat from the very core of the earth itself.
Needless to say, the clip will LONG outlast the mic itself.
http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h328/jbchill1/20150310_064248.jpg (http://s1104.photobucket.com/user/jbchill1/media/20150310_064248.jpg.html)

Gonna play with it at lunch and see what kind of receiving performance gain there is with the new antenna.

I also ordered a SWR meter w/ jumper cable so I can make sure I get the antenna setup correctly... just wish I had someone closer to me that I could use their SWR meter, as I'll probably only make use of it once or twice... but at least I'll have it for other installs or for other folks to make use of...

4 black 3/4 D-rings, Daystar shackle isolators, as well as the shackle washers to keep them from rocking back and forth when installed... as well as some door panel clips as all most all the stock ones on the front doors are busted off, and a standard type coax, as I didn't notice that I wouldn't be able to run the Firestik Fire-ring type coax w/ my JCR ant. mount.. so once I get the TB and steering taken care of today (hopefully), I'll install everything else for the CB and get it read down to the coax install...

Just want to get the cam set properly and see if it makes a difference, and get to see what it has been set at, and what the stock 4.0L is set at, hopefully get a bit better power and cleaner burn.

It is always good to have it set at zero. However you can get extra low and top end by advancing or retarding. The new cars have variable valve timing and a wonderful flat torque curve to go with it. I have been toying with the idea of a mechanical VVT for the 4.3. That would be lots of fun

Replica? I have no idea how this works, I assumed they did something to the original fish so you could hang it on your wall.

Replica? I have no idea how this works, I assumed they did something to the original fish so you could hang it on your wall.

Thats the old way of doing things. (I'm learning this as well) These days they use specific measurements and a few pictures to build a replica. One advantage is that you don't have to kill the fish. However, this one was filleted a few minutes after the pic and is probably still feeding the captain's family and friends. Was caught a week ago Friday. We estimated about 50 lbs of meat.

Replicas also last a LOT longer than stuffing the actual fish. I'm sure you've seen the old mounts (fish are the worst) that were disintegrating from age. Deer, elk, bear, waterfowl etc, I think they still use the hide of the animal. And those hold up much better over time.

This is true. I have a good family friend who is a professional taxidermist and i actually got into it a little myself. They hardly use anything from fish anymore, like you said some photos and measurements is all you need. On larger animals they wrap the hide around a foam body, smaller things get replaced like the nose, eyes, beaks, claws sometimes, etc. Horns and antlers are usually authentic though. A LOT of work goes into making these, that's why they can be so expensive. [emoji14]

So very disappointed.
Last month, May, I ordered a pair of front coil springs, from Knowwhere2jeep.. the order stated, delivery expected, 4th Jun to 10th Jun.

On the 11th, I signed in to my acc, to retrieve the tracking number. Nothing listed. Old purchase history there, but my last purchase. Hmm.

So I sent an email...

[ Jason,

The springs are on the way. You should receive another e-mail with a tracking number in the next 5 minutes.

Thanks!
