We (I) need pictures and your opinion on install and use! I'd like to have this for mine. Also if you're running the factory front skid, if you were able to install without much issue.

they forgot the sleeve nut, so I'm kinda on hold till that shows up.

I have no idea how to post pics here anymore. all my pics are in google photos (or my phone) and not sure how to get them posted. any ideas?

picked up waggy Dana 44s, 4.88 gears, rear disc conversion kit and a few other things. Looking forward to getting these built up and under the jeep. Current plan is to run 37s since I like to push the skinny pedal.

I am. Not gonna be running down the interstate in the rig. Is it bad that I don't what a setup bearing is or what it's for yet?? :D

Good. Makes it much easier to set up a diff. Should be able to do it in an hour or less. The pinion is easier. There is a shim that goes under the large race on the pinion bearing. The pinion is marked with which one you should use. Another 20 minutes to shim the other pinion bearing and that should be done. The set up bearings are for the carrier, which is the hardest part

could you lay a tow strap in the pumpkin then use it either pull the case or pull the strap out on your last fitting?

Ordered: I'm missing a bolt from gas tank exhaust shield. any idea how to find fasteners for our XJs?

bought the wrong exhaust hanger isolator from Rock auto, then picked up the correct one from dodo zone. Now I've got a nice rubber paper weight

I go to a local fastener store. All they do unless it is something I can buy in bulk at Tractor Supply. I have to go across town, but worth the trip. It is run by a family of crazy ladies. Always lots of laughs there and worth the trip for that alone. But they have everything. Probably about 10K sq ft in inventory. And they have frame bolts, like came from the factory. Hardened in an oil bath and made to take a little side stress without breaking like a grade 8 will. As far as using a strap to pull it out, I don't think that is practical

wow. Auto Zone's got nothing, didn't think to check summit. Almost paid $17 each from Mopar and would've taken 10 days to get here.

Used a piece of fuel line to cover the studs. If for some reason, this doesn't work (radiator is riding directly on the lower core support, but I don't think it will cause an issue) I'll pull it back apart and get those installed. Thanks Finney!

I've seen quite a few folks mention Dirtdogs lately... never heard of them at all.. and then all of sudden they've popped up all over the place... from reviews I've seen online, they seem to have pretty good customer service and great products... Was just checking out their site... doesn't look too bad at all...

I had been looking for a set like this for sale locally when I went to install the rims on my XJ...But instead the closest I could find was the black lock types... I don't mind the look of them, just wish I could find a pack with just 1 set, as I only need two more to be able to install on my spare... But for now, I'll just run the stock acorns on there... figure if you're going to put enough effort into fighting with the license plate mount and everything to get the spare off... to only get the spare rim/tire, since you can't get the remaining four locked rims... then you needed it far more that I did anyways... Not to mention you have to have a deep well/skinny socket that will fit the stock lugs to get it off too..

Gonna send them back to Amazon unless you fellers know of a "fuse" of sorts inside the housing. on crunch time to get ready for weekend ride so the oldies went back on. can't stand the yellow halogen light but its better than nada!

I have found out the hard way that a good LED needs some type of ballast, external or internal. Also almost all H4 LEDs are crap. They need to have very small chips and in the exact position of an H4 filament. Check out Phillips. Saw a lengthy test and review on Youtube on this

All of my purchases of late have been for the car, and not the XJ unfortunately... I mean it's nice to have it setup for more play and fun too.. But I still want to show the old girl some love from time to time.. Can't wait to be able to afford more stuff... or heck... can't wait to find a place with a garage, so that I can work on her with what parts I have already... Can't wait until I'm able to make that purchase for my XJ..
