Good anti-theft lugnuts.

Saw someone asking about locking lugnuts. I then realized how the lugnuts i recently put on my XJ are good anti-theft lugnuts. The only socket I have found that fits them is a 3/8 or 1/2 impact socket. All the regular deep well sockets i have found have a little lip in them that wont work on these lugnuts. They are called bullet lugnuts and i got them at a local swapmeet for $1 a piece.

Yeah I would say it seems like those should work pretty well to be anti-theft lug nuts... I'm guessing the original design when they were produced was more for looks then being anti-theft??

Yup definitely for looks, and also the reason I bought them. But after noticing what a pain in the ass it was to find a socket for them, I realized how they'd work as a theft deterrent
