Hi
I have a 1989 jeep Comanche sometimes it shifts great but sometimes it wont shift out of first let it sit for ten minutes and it shifts again put in another tranny and still does the same ?

Mine does this when the tps is messing up

I'm assuming this is an automatic transmission that you are having these issues out of??

I'm assuming automatic transmission. And do I understand correctly that you replaced the tranny already? My guess would be that if you can shift it manually, then the transmission itself is probably okay... and since you already replaced it, we can rule that out ;)

Read this thread. Sounds like most-likely issue is TPS or TCU. Possibly a fuse.
