why couldn't you take your rack and instead of having bars for a shelf you could ether install tubing or a steel ! thick box then you would have a shelf and a air tank all biult into one. Hay it is looking good and you got me thinking.

Well the Olympic Safari Rack is removable, and I got it off of Craigslist for $75. With the air tank mounted to it I can remove them both and still carry large stuff in the back. Also it's pretty cheaply made so it's a lot lighter than what I would build. I'd never buy one of these racks for $200+
