My problem with my 1997 Jeep Cherokee is a non working instrument panel. I had to replace blower motor resistor and changed to a newer battery. Some where during this process, instrument panel went blank. Frustrating-- I've been working on my own vehicles my entire life.

Hank, just smack the dash and see what happens. Almost always works

Its usually a connection issue due to corrosion. Do what 4.3lxj said.
