On a side note i'm gonna try and put together a Group buy for another one. The specs are 19200 lumis at 40in (42in overall) for 250ish

Sorry to see that shit happen.. Wish people would leave other peoples stuff the hell alone.. That is not why we fight so people can have the right to steal stuff from other folks.. That seems like a pretty decent deal on that size of a light bar.. What brand is it?? And did they take the brackets and everything or just the bar itself?? Was just wondering if you might not be able to use some type of security screw that the common their wouldn't have the bit for..

What is it with people stuff getting stolen or broken into lately?
Seems like a rash of this stuff has been going on recently with a LOT of people.
Sorry Matt, that sux bad.
I know its hindsight, but hopefully something like these in the future may help with keeping the things that are bolted to the Jeep in place, and where they belong....
These are just one type of many of the Anti-Theft Security Nuts (http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/Light-Force-Keiths-Anit-Theft-Security-Nuts-p-19107.html) out there.
Just like with the locking lug nuts, you need a special "tool" to get them on and off.
Just a little cheap insurance for expensive accessories.

I would quite happily break every finger on both hands of thieves. SLOWLY !
I've went for a more permanent 'locking nuts' solution on everything that's bolted to mine, a spot weld on every bolt. I scrapped the ally brackets on the lightbars and made up new ones in steel to allow for welding, also allowed the bars to sit lower.

you can also use brack off bolts they are use on car ign. locks they are most of the time 10mm. thev head brake off at a set in.lb. leveing a tapered head that you will have a hard time grabing. I have use them for winches I just drill a extra hole and tap it then when I'm done with the install put the bolt in and titen it down until the head brakes off.

thanks for the suggestions but i think i will weld freeze plugs over the bolts on the next one. it may not stop them but it will slow them down

Since i have a 50" that is gonna go on and i worry about this exact problem i am trying to come up with a solution that will look decent. I think welding will be just about the best and definitely cheapest. Although not look great.

Again, sorry this happened Matt. Did you catch them on camera?

Sent via messenger pigeon - i talk, he types.

It needs .308 rounds in it instead of paint balls.
