You now have the option to access the :xjtalk: site securely via https.

I am still working through issues. I get a warning from my browser about some items are not being sent securely.

You can still access the site with the trusty http:

What's the difference? Well https transmits and receives encrypted data. This way if you are on WiFi or using a cell phone network no one can "read" your data.

This works out great since I get on :xjtalk: from all over the world using unsecure wifi.. Unfortunately my wifi connection usually sucks so bad, that I doubt I'd be able to connect to it securely... but I'll def give it a try!!

If you need any help let me know. I am in the InfoSec world for my day job. Did you purchase the expensive package to give you the full green bar?

EV no. I just did the wildcard. $94 a year from NameCheap. :D

That seems like a pretty steep price.. but I guess for being able to boast having a secure connection, it's not all that bad at all.. Now does that $94 cover all the connections the server has, or just :xjtalk:??

Go over to Thawt or DigiCert and price a wildcard ssl cert, then you'll see how cheap $94 is.

Wildcard cert is *.{domain}.{ext} So that means *.xjtalk.com in our case. www.xjtalk.com, mail.xjtalk.com, etc...
