View Full Version : Better mirrors?

I've been searching, but so far not coming up with anything. Are there any side mirror upgrades or there? The oem ones are certainly not the greatest! They are tiny, and the driver's side is half blocked by the wrong window post. Just wondering if anyone had found a better option.

ZJ mirrors are a little better and bolt in

I went with '97-01 XJ mirrors for mine. A bit more mirror and no need to modify anything. Picked both up at the jy for $22 and painted them.

Do they fold and stay? Not like the xj ones where they spring back?

Ah! I see now you said those are xj mirrors. I was on the zj track! Do they bolt right up, or did you have to modify anything?

Yeah, that's why i reiterated it. :D But yes, they bolt straight on. The only thing that isn't perfect is the mirror overlaps the window molding very slightly. It creates a small gap, so i put a small line of silicone to help seal it.

I agree with XJ Wheeler.
I did the mod too, only thing I found, but wasn't that hard, was swapping the wiring plugs over for the electric adjuster.
