Sears DieHard Platinum Batteries

Sears has their DieHard Marine batteries on sale. They are essentially rebadged Odyssey batteries with a 3 year warranty. The group 34M (PM2) battery is a little bigger than my 93's battery tray, so I cut the lip off the passenger side of the tray and slotted the mounting holes to move it closer to the AC compressor.
It's a little longer and just slightly taller than my 34/78 Optima red top, which now resides in my Accord.

The cases of the battery's are the same, and they're both made by EnerSys, same specs across both Sears/Odyssey batts.

they are problaby close with alittle things diffrent just so they can call them diffrent. I was doing some work at a battery store and in the back they had shilfs with blank batterys and rolls of sticker to put on as they sale them. but only serten sticker went on serton battery.

I run that same battery in my truck. Very strong battery! As for then being Odyssey, I actually tasked to a real person at Odyssy, and they confirmed they are the exact same battery, just different color plastic and different stickers.

What year is your truck? I'm curious if you had to modify your battery tray/shoe horn it in like I did.

Looks like the battery is up to $197.99 today, and the actual 34/78 is $206. Still worth it over an Optima IMO.

Sorry, I should have specified the trick I have I it in is not a Jeep. I'm not sure about fitting it in the Jeep.

I picked up the 34/78 Diehard platinum and it has a 4 year replacement warranty and it fit my 89 battery tray perfect.
